Sign Files

Introduction

Encryption Suite Pro allows you to sign your files using your OpenPgP keys. Signed files can be verified to confirm their legitimacy.

Using the Sign tool

To start the Sign tool, please go to the File Encrypt section of Encryption Suite Pro and once there, click the Sign button.

At the Sign tool interface, you will need to do several things:

  • Add Files - select the file/s that is/are going to be Signed.
  • Add Folders - select the folder/s that is/are going to be Signed. You can add one or more folders to the encryption tracklist.
  • Remove - Remove one, many or all files from tracklist.
  • Destination Folder
    • File's Current Folder - The signed file will be saved in the folder of the originating files that are being signed.
    • Custom Folder - Saves the signed file or files in the folder of your choice. To enter the custom folder to save to, either type in the folder location in the shown field or click the browse browse button to navigate to the desired folder of your choice.

After you have selected the options, click “Sign” to finish the process and sign the file. Encryption Suite Pro will then ask you choose the PGP key that you wish to sign with. Click Next and you'll be asked to enter the password, enter the password and click OK. Your file is now signed.

Please note that it is very IMPORTANT that you do not forget your password. You will NOT be able to use the file if you forget the password. There is no way you can recover a forgotten password to an encrypted or signed file.
